Hello everyone,

Last week we all painted a picture of our faces for our class board. In group time we used the mirrors to look at our faces and talk about the similarities and differences between each other. We then painted a pictures of us. These are now up on display.
We read the story of We're going a bear hunt which will we all enjoyed joining in with. From the story we went on our own bear hunt and acted out the story. We found our own bear. We have also enjoyed reading 'Where my Ted?' and sharing Ellis and Alexandra bear stories. We have been busy making our own bears in swish swashy grass. Through this activity we have been practicing our scissors skills. We have also been using the computers and the programme 2paint on Purple Mash to paint our own bears. These are up on display.
On Monday we did some Yoga with the Mr Gibson Year 1 class.
On Tuesday we went to the Roundhouse to listen to stories and had Mr Treble for PE. We played lots of fun games including traffic lights, pirates treasure and fruit salad.
On Wednesday afternoon we went to soft play in small groups as the weather was a little wet.
On Thursday we went out on the balance bikes around the school grounds. We gained confidence in going down the hills. We played lots of different games on our bikes to develop our bike skills.
On Friday morning we watched the video of We're going on a bear hunt. We enjoyed watching this. On Friday afternoon we played number bingo. We enjoyed playing this for the first time. We knew some numerals. We also did some Yoga based on the story of We're going on a bear hunt.  Throughout the week we have been helping to prepare snack by counting out the cups and plates and gathering all the things we need on our snack tables.
We have been looking after the chickens and guinea pigs along with watering in the polytunnel.

This week we will be continuing with our bear stories and activities.

Jennie Jigsaw:- We will be talking about how we can look after our classroom.

Letters and Sounds:- Continue our sounds lotto game and explore musical instruments.

Home Learning:- Can you find a bear story, make a picture of a bear, an activity about a bear or bring in a picture of a bear?
