Hello everyone,

Last week we enjoyed sharing all the different bear stories that have been coming in from home. We have also been finishing off our own bears in practicing our scissor skills. This are up on display in the classroom. We have been playing a bear number game on the interactive whiteboard which we have really enjoyed doing. It involved feeding the bear the right number of cakes. We had our first swimming session on Thursday morning. The 2 groups had lots of fun and it was great to see how confident they were in the water. These pictures will be up on display this week. On Tuesday with had Mr Treble for PE. We played the traffic light game with a tambourine, collecting bears honey and dodging the ball. It was great fun. On Tuesday afternoon we went on an Autumn Walk around the school grounds and collected lots of Autumn objects. We have also finished our bear off on the computer which are now up on display. We have done some Yoga around the story of We're going on a bear hunt. On Thursday afternoon we helped Reception make some cakes for Paddington Bear 5th Birthday Party. On Friday afternoon we helped take wood chipping ups in wheelbarrows for the chicken's coop. It was great fun using the wheelbarrows and tools. We have also enjoyed practicing our scissor skills on the finger frenzy table, exploring the wood block centre, retelling the story of We're going on a bear hunt with the small world props. We have been able to make the teddy bear pattern sequence cards in the number area. We have enjoyed playing some board games with Chloe and we are getting good at taking turns.
This week we are going to be sharing the story of Goldilocks and the three bears along with the theme of Harvest. We are going to be doing some baking of bears to bring home and decorate and then eat. We are also going to be having porridge for snack. We will be talking about oats and where they come from and lots more.
