Image result for beanstalk pictures

Hello everyone,

We all hope you had a wonderful half term. We have had some fantastic weather.  The week before half term we continued our learning about the seaside. We listened to lots of stories and poems about the seaside. On Tuesday the beach lifeguards came into the pre-school to talk about staying safe at the seaside. The children learnt about the different flags, staying safe at the seaside and what to do in emergency. The children took all the learning from this and role played being lifeguards outside on the climbing frame with resources like binoculars, mobile phones, rope and flags.
On Wednesday the Sealife centre came into visit us with a starfish. We learnt lots of facts about star fish and got to touch the starfish.
We have continued with lots of gardening by planting some vegetable seeds and plants in the beds and looking after the chickens.

This week we will be starting of our week talking about what we got unto in the half term and bring our news with our friends. The children were really interested in the story of Jack and the beanstalk so this week we will be sharing the story of Jack and the beanstalk and different variations of the story. We will be planting different types of beans for a beans experiment. We will be trying different beans for snack. We will be playing the game called beans. We will be planting our own beans to bring home to look after and watch them grow. We will doing lot's more activities around the story of Jack and the beanstalk over the week.
