Hello everyone....

 Hello everyone.....

This week we have been playing lots of different sports. We hope you have all had a wonderful weekend in the sunshine.

On Monday morning we had Sports Day. It was lovely to see you all there. The children were amazing and were so resilient along with great team work. We hope you enjoyed it. In the afternoon we learnt to play hockey.

On Tuesday we had kickboxing and we went on a adventure.  In the afternoon we learnt how to play cricket.

On Wednesday morning a group of children went to the care home for a sing song, story and ate some yummy cakes. The other group of children played football on the school field with the football goals.

On Thursday morning we learnt all about voting. We did our own voting for a story. The winning vote was Shark in the park. We also played some more games of cricket. In the afternoon a group of children who are attending POW in September went over to spend the afternoon in Reception. They had a great time exploring the classroom and having a play.

On Friday we painted our salt dough sea creatures. In the afternoon we had an African dance workshop. We were amazing at joining in. We then went and watched dance day in the school hall and watched the year 4 Samba Band. Throughout the week we have been having lots of fun playing and exploring outside in the beautiful sunshine.

Throughout the week we have enjoyed constructing with the marble runs, magnetic rods and wooden gem blocks.  In the number area we have been playing with the peg boards. We have been using the coloured sand to mark make in using our fingers. In the small world area we have been playing with the beach scene.
