Hello everyone....

Hi Everyone,

We hope you have all had a fabulous weekend enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

Last week we had great fun making our invitations to send to our grandparents inviting them to our grandparents snack. We then walked to the post box to post our letters.
On Tuesday we had PE with  Mr Treble on the school field. We played lots of games to develop the skill of negotiating obstacles and space. We then had the challenge of collecting the cones which were hidden in the trees. We were resilient tortoises and resourceful spiders for this challenge. We kept on trying to get the cones and we were resourceful in how we got them. Some of climbed the tree, some of us found a stick to get them down and we helped each other.
On Wednesday afternoon we watched a video about how to stay safe in the sun. We then told Julia how to keep safe in the sun. We made posters to inform everyone about how to stay safe in the sun and we have put these up around the pre-school garden.
On Thursday we had the dentist nurse come in and talk to us about how to look after our tea. We learnt how to clean our teeth and about healthy and unhealthy foods for our teeth. We learnt some great facts. We also had Dr Ellis come in and talk to us about his job as a doctor and what happens when we visit the doctors. We got to try out lots of equipment which he uses. In the afternoon we had great fun playing Dr's outside and we looked after Chloe!!
Throughout the week we have been enjoying playing and exploring outside in the beautiful sunshine.
During the week on the finger frenzy table we have had dried fruit which we have been threading and cutting with scissors. We then enjoyed eating the dried fruit. In the water tray we have been making cups of coffee and experimenting with sugar cubes. what happens when you add a sugar cube? We have also been learning how to brush the pretend teeth with toothpaste and getting rid of the black marker on the teeth.
We have been constructing with a variety of materials and created some amazing models. We have been looking after the dolls and making them better with the doctor role play resources. Also we have been mark making in playdough.

In our Read write Inc groups with have been learning the following sounds:-

Julia's and Karen's group- m,a,s,d
Lauren's group- m,a,s

This week we will be continuing finding out all about how to be heathy, how to look after ourselves and people who help us. If you have a family member or friend who has a role as a person who help us and they would like to come in and talk about their job please come and let us know. We are going to use the Now Press Play headsets for some drama based on the theme of people who help us.
