Hello everyone.....


Hello everyone.....

We hope you have all had a wonderful weekend in the beautiful sunshine. 

On Tuesday we had our kickboxing session and we went on a monkey adventure which involved praticing our kicks and jumping using 2 feet. We also continued to drew our self portraits for our leavers teatowel. More details on ordering these after half term. A group of children made rhubarb cake for snack in the afternoon. Bobby bought some in from home. In the afternoon we talked about keeping our teeth healthy. We did a demosntartion of how to brush your teeth. The children were great at teeling us why it is important to brush your teeth.


On Wednesday morning a group of children visited the local care home for a singsong, story and cakes. Another group of children had PE and we praticed our some sports day games which involved an egg and spoon race, running race, hurdles, bean bag throw and relay race. We were great as working as a team. We finished off with playing on the play trail. In the afternoon we had our Relax Kids session with Sian.


On Thursday morning we talked about VE day and made our own Great Britian flags using paint. We then went over to school for our celebration picnic with everyone else. After lunch we had a special assembly and a yummy cake. We were all amazing at joining in and listening.


On Friday morning we made our postcards to send home to our grandparents. Next week we will be visiting the post box to post these. In the afternoon we had a lovely time playing outside.


 Throughout the week we have enjoyed constructing with the geomags,flower construction and lego. In the number area  we have been exploring tens frame with pennies and wooden people. In the small world area we have been playing with the playmobil small world park. On our finger frenzy table this week we have been  dressing the small dolls and wooden fruit threading.We have enjoyed the sound pots. We have done lots of painting including people, flowers. We have been making playdough people. We have really enjoyed playing outside in the beautiful sunshine and with our new outside resources. 

We have now learnt all the Read Write Inc pictures and we are now focusing on Fred Frog and learning the sounds. This week we have learned the sound m. We have been doing lots of rhyming games and stories.

For next two weeks we will be sharing the story of Jack and beanstalk and variations of the story. We have lots of exciting activities planned linked to the story. We will also continue to visit the post box to post our invitations to our grandparents.

Notices


As the sunny weather is appearing please could all children come to school with suncream on. Also we will reapply suncream after lunch if needed.


On Tuesday from 9.00-9.30am we have Play and Learn session. Look forward to seeing lots of you there.

We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, so please can we remind our families that the children have no products containing nuts in their lunchbox.
