Hello everyone.....

 Hello everyone,

We hope you have all had a wonderful weekend with your family and friends in the wonderful sunshine.

On Monday some children made a pasta salad to bring home. They all looked very yummy. A group of children had PE and we practiced some sports day games e.g egg and spoon race. We also had a special visitor. Dr Ellis came and talked about his job as a doctor and what to expect when you go to the doctors. We had a go at using some of his equipment. In the afternoon some children made cupcakes to take to the care home on Wednesday. We also visited soft play in small groups.

On Tuesday we had kickboxing and we played the fruit salad game. We have also been sticking our pictures, wow's and artwork into our magical achievement books. In the afternoon we did some junk modelling and we made emergency vehicles.

On Wednesday morning a group of children went to the care home for a sing song, story and yummy cakes which we made. Another group of children had PE and practiced some Sports day games. In The afternoon we had a lovely time outside playing.

On Thursday we had a special visitor coming in. Ottillie's Dad came in and talked about his job as a teacher and read us a story. We also used purple mash on th computers to create our own fruit salad bowls.

On Friday we went to soft play in small groups and then we went to watch Year 4's assembly and the Mrs Troughton's leavers assembly.

Throughout the week we have been drawing our self portrait for our leaver's preschool tea towel. Information about ordering these will come out soon.

Throughout the week we have enjoyed constructing with the lego, wooden shaped transparent block, pebbles, arches and octagons.  In the number area we have been playing the shape game. We are really good at knowing our shapes and playing the game independently with our friends. We have enjoyed marking making using the whiteboard and pens. We have also enjoyed exploring the cornflour with our hands and spoons along with the rice, lentils and pasta with spoons and small pots. In the small world area we have been playing with the bugs and insects small world scene. On our finger frenzy table this week we have been playing with the Tap a Shape. We have made our own pictures using the pieces and then using the hammer to bang the pins into place. We have had the dolls house, fire station and hospital out on the floor in room 2. We have a shop as a role play area this half term.

In our Read write Inc groups with have been learning the following sounds: m,a,s,d,t,i,n,p,g

Here are some Read write inc videos to support the letter sounds above:
