Hello everyone......

 Hello everyone...

We hope you have all had a fabulous weekend in the wonderful sunshine with family and friends.

WOW, we can't believe it is our last week of the school year. It has been an absolutely amazing year full of adventures and learning.

This week we have enjoyed making chocolate cakes to take to the care home on Wednesday. A group of children visited the care home on Wednesday to have a singsong and to eat chocolate cakes. Another group on Wednesday had a fab PE session with Mr Treble playing some of our favourite games. We have all enjoyed going swimming and we all love the water now and have become so confident in the water. We have also enjoyed doing our sponsored bike and scooterthon. We did lots of laps around the mound. We really enjoyed visiting Sharon's garden to watch Thomas the tank engine, Percy and other trains going around the track in the garden and learning all about the signal box. It was a fabulous trip. We have also enjoyed playing in soft play.  We have enjoyed constructing with the marble run, wooden construction robots, plastic rods and shape arrangements. We have been finding the letters to make a word and then fred talking the sounds to make the word. On our finger frenzy table this week we have been threading ribbons on the cooling racks. On our small world table we have enjoyed playing with the pirate train track small world set. We have had great fun playing with the playdough with shells, ice cream cones, coloured stones and dinosaur skeletons. In our role play we have had a under the sea and a ice-cream role play shop.

In our Read write Inc groups with have been learning the following sounds:

Julia's, Colleen and Lauren's group- m,a,s,d,t, i, n,p,g,o,c,k,u,b,f,e,l
Sharon's- Picture names and rhyming

Here are some Read write inc videos to support the letter sounds above:

This week we will enjoy our last week at pre-school by playing with our favourite toys, games and activities.

Notices

On Thursday we have our leavers party which all children are invited to attend. This will be an all day event (9-3.30) We invite parents and carers to join us in the pre-school hall for 9.15am for a pre-school celebration. We will be having a water fight during the day so please could all children bring a spare set of clothes, towel and a water gun. If anyone has a paddling pool we could borrow, please come and speak to Julia.

We all had a great time last week with riding on bikes and scooters and seeing how many laps we could do. On Friday we were unable to do it so please bring your child's bike or scooter in when they are next in. Please bring in any sponsor money from the sponsored bike and scooterthon from last week by Wednesday 19th July.

We break up for the summer holidays on Thursday 20th July and return back on Monday 4th September.

As the sunny weather is appearing please could all children come to school with suncream on. Also we will reapply suncream after lunch if needed.

We enjoy seeing the children after school socialising in the pre-school garden. We are more than happy for the children to play with resources which are out e.g. bikes but we kindly ask that after you finish playing with them please pop them back where you found them.

We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, so please can we remind our families that the children have no products containing nuts in their lunchbox.
