Hello everyone....

 Hi everyone....

WOW.... What an INSPIRED TO LEARN year we have and we can't believe it is already our last week of pre-school. We have had so much fun and learnt many new things over the year. It has been magical watching each and every child's achievements and progress. This week we are going to be enjoying accessing our favourite learning experiences.

Here are some pictures from last week....

Notices:

On Wednesday we have our party day. We look forward to welcoming our families to join us in celebrating your child's preschool journey. Please come to main entrance for 9.25am. We are going to be having a water fight on Wednesday. Please could all children bring spare clothes and shoes to change into after the water fight. It would be amazing if children can each bring a water gun in. If anyone has a paddling pool we can borrow, please let Julia know.

As the weather is starting to warm, please could all children bring sun hats to school. We do have a box of spares if needed. Please  apply suncream to your child before school and tick your child's name off on the list which will be on the green table by the pre-school doorIf you have ticked to supply your own suncream, please could you make sure either it is in their bags or a spare is kept at pre-school.

Predicted Extreme Heat

Thursday 14th July 2022

Dear Families,

The Met Office has extended an amber extreme heat warning for Sunday 17th July, Monday 18th July and Tuesday 19th July 2022, as temperatures will build this weekend and early next week for much of England and Wales.

The amber warning highlights likely adverse health effects for the public, not just limited to those most vulnerable to extreme heat.

To prepare for this, at The Prince of Wales School we will be following the government guidance on looking after children and those in early years settings during heatwaves, including the use of ventilation, keeping children hydrated, and avoiding vigorous physical activity. Teachers will be adapting their plans to reflect the heat warning.

To support our efforts, Monday and Tuesday will now be non-school uniform days at The Prince of Wales School. Instead of their usual school uniform, children should wear loose, light coloured clothing and sun hats with wide brims where possible.

As always at this time of the year, please ensure that sunscreen is applied generously before school and that you provide your child with plenty of water.

We thank you in advance for your support in keeping everyone safe at this time.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Gary Spracklen - Headteacher
