Hello everyone....

Hi Everyone,

We hope you have all had a great weekend enjoying the sunshine.

Last week we enjoyed settling back into preschool after half term. We enjoyed listening to lots of Seaside stories during group time and listening to some new seaside songs.

On Tuesday we had PE with Mr Treble and we practiced lots of Sports Day team games including the egg and spoon race, sack race, relay race and running race.

We have really enjoyed exploring our new under the sea, ice cream shop and school uniform shop role play area. We have been busy constructing robots using the snap-bots construction set and making creatures using the K'nex. We have been busy making some sea creatures using a variety of media, tools and techniques. We made some rainbow fish using the water colours, foil paper. We made some jelly fish using our scissors to cut the jelly fish body out and then sticking on legs. We made octopus out of tubes and we cut the tubes to make the legs. These are all up on display in the classroom. We have had great fun taking our learning outside and exploring a variety of activities outside this week.

In our Read write Inc groups with have been learning the following sounds:-

Julia's and Karen's group- m,a,s,d,t,i,n,p,g,o,c
Lauren's group- m,a,s,d,t,i,n,p
Sharon and Colleen's group- m,a,s,d,t

Here are some Read write inc videos to support the letter sounds above:

Here are some pictures from the week....

This week we are going to be making a little gift and a card to bring home for a special day on Sunday. We will also continue to be sharing lots of seaside stories and activities throughout the week. If you have one you would like to bring in, we would love to share it.

Home learning:-

Animals

Fred names an animal and the children make the noise of that animal.

  1. Say ‘Fred wants you to make the noise of a h-or-se’.

  2. Ask children to say ‘h-or-se’. Pause to see if they can blend and make the noise of a

    horse.

  3. Say ‘h-or-se, horse’. Ask children to repeat.

-Can you play a game which involves taking turns?

-Can you go on a letter sounds hunt?

-Can you make a sea creature?
