Hello everyone,

We have had a great week learning all about pets. The children have enjoyed talking about pets they have or would like to have. We have drawn pictures of a pet we have or would like. We talked about what our pets need and how to look after them. We have shared lots of stories about pets including The great pet sale, pets, Guinea pigs. We have also read some information books about pets. We went up to the nature garden to design a home ready for our new pet Guinea pigs which arrived on Thursday. On Wednesday we went out on a bike ride on the balance bikes around the school. On Friday morning we went and watched year 2 assembly to watch their class assembly of Charlie and the chocolate factory. On Friday afternoon we joined with Reception and did some Yoga and played at the play trail. We have been very busy watering our garden and picking some yummy cucumbers.

This week we will be sharing the story of What the ladybird heard. We will be making some ladybirds and putting the same amount of dots on each side. We will also be doing some singing and drama using the cd of the theatre production. For the next 2 and bit weeks we are going to have all the  toys we enjoy having out to play with. If your child has a particular favourite please come and tell a member of staff so we can have the toy out in the next 2 weeks. We will also continue with our gardening and looking after our pet chickens and Guniea pigs

Sounds and letters

A mixture of rhyming, initial sounds and musical instruments.

Jennie Jigsaw

This term Jennie jigsaw is talking about changing me. We will be talking about how our bodies are changing as time moves forward and how they have already changed since we were a baby.
