Hello everyone.....
We hope you have all had a wonderful weekend in the beautiful sunshine. We have really enjoyed hearing all about the children's Easter adventures. Throughout the week everyone recalled their Easter adventures and drew pictures.
On Tuesday we had our kickboxing session and we went on a monkey adventure which involved moving in a variety of ways.
On Wednesday morning a group of children visited the local care home for a singsong, story and biscuits. The other group of children had PE on the school field. We played in the wooded area and practice our climbing skills to rescues the cones. In the afternoon we had Relax kids. We also went to meet Harold the giraffe big brother. He talked all about our bodies and naming the diffrent parts of our body. We also learnt about looking after ourselves e.g. washing, brushing our teeth and hair.
On Thursday we used chalks outside to draw round each other and draw the diffrent parts of our body on the outline e.g. heart, lungs, eyes, mouth etc. we also played on the play trail.
On Friday we had a great day playing outside and had a very yummy snack of cheesy crumpets. We all loved eating them.
Throughout the week we have enjoyed constructing with the foam bricks, lego. In the number area we have been exploring the pegs and boards. In the small world area we have been playing with the insects and bugs. On our finger frenzy table this week we have been playing with the threading cards.We have enjoyed mark making the whiteboards and pens. We have really enjoyed playing outside in the beautiful sunshine and with our new outside resources.
We have now learnt all the Read Write Inc pictures and we are now focusing on Fred Frog and learning the sounds. This week we have learned the sound m. We have been doing lots of rhyming games and stories.

Next week we are going to continue to learn about Healthy Me. We are going to be laeraning how to keep safe in the sun, how to look after our teeth, Healthy foodsand looking after ourselves. We have lots of exciting activites planned including cooking.

Notices
As the sunny weather is appearing please could all children come to school with suncream on. Also we will reapply suncream after lunch if needed.
