Hello everyone....

 🌞 Preschool Weekly Blog 🌞

We hope you have all had a wonderful weekend with family and friends, making the most of the beautiful sunshine!

Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our families for your support during last week's heatwave. We really appreciated your understanding and flexibility with the early collections on a couple of days. Working together helped us ensure all of the children remained safe, happy and comfortable during the very warm weather.

This week, the children had a fantastic time taking part in our kickboxing session. They loved learning some new moves, practising their balance and coordination, and most importantly having lots of fun! We are looking forward to welcoming some of you to join us for our next session this week.

On Monday morning our friends from the local care home came to visit us for a play.

On Wednesday morning, a small group of our children visited their new Reception class at Damer First School. They were incredibly excited and enjoyed exploring their new environment, meeting staff and beginning the next stage of their learning journey. We are so proud of how confidently they represented Preschool.

While they were away, the rest of the children were treated to a visit from Little City, who transformed the school hall into an amazing role-play town. There were lots of different occupations to explore, giving the children opportunities to dress up, imagine and play together. From builders and vets to shopkeepers and firefighters, the children thoroughly enjoyed immersing themselves in imaginative play and worked brilliantly together.

With the temperatures remaining high, we have spent plenty of time enjoying quieter activities indoors to keep cool. The children were delighted to cool down with delicious ice creams and ice lollies, which were certainly a highlight of the week!

📸 Some Pictures from Our Week

We hope you enjoy looking through the photos and seeing some of the wonderful experiences, learning opportunities and achievements the children have enjoyed this week.

Looking Ahead... 🏅

Over the next fortnight, we will be celebrating Inclusive Sports Fortnight. The children will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of sports and physical activities, developing their confidence, teamwork and resilience while discovering that there is a sport for everyone to enjoy. We are looking forward to introducing the children to lots of new experiences and celebrating the importance of being active, having fun and encouraging one another.
