Hello everyone....

 Hello everyone...

We hope you have all had a fabulous weekend in the wonderful sunshine with family and friends.

On Monday Alex's dad came in to pre-school to talk about his home country of the Czech Republic and bought us some yummy potato pancakes to try. We created the flag using red and blue tissue paper. On Tuesday morning Milo's mum came in to preschool and talked about her home country of Indonesia and we learnt about the different types of tropical fruit and all about scuba diving and the underwater creatures. We tried dried mango, pineapple and banana crisps for snack. We made some Indonesia dragons which we used our scissors and folding skills. We also made some Indonesia cone people. In the afternoon we went swimming in the pre-school pool. On Wednesday we practiced our sports day races including the egg and spoon, running, sack and hurdles race. We also saw how far we could throw a beanbag. On Wednesday afternoon we had a bubble making afternoon. It was great fun. We made large bubbles using the hoops and small bubbles using the bats. We also had a play on the playtrail. On Thursday morning Tomas's dad came in to pre-school and talked about his home country of Ireland. We learnt all about the Giant Causeway. We also tried some yummy soda bread. We collaged some green clovers. On Friday morning Hunter's mum came in to pre-school and talked about her home country of the Philippines. We tried a sweet banana dessert and some cheesy crisps. We made some Philippine dolls. In the afternoon we went to soft play and enjoyed meeting Bella and Mia the sausage dogs. We have enjoyed constructing with the Mobilo, geomag and wooden blocks and wooden dinosaurs. In the number area we have been sorting different coloured and sized people along with creating patterns.  We have been mark making with a tray of glitter using our finger. On our finger frenzy table this week we have been using the peg boards and coloured pegs to make patterns and repeating patterns. On our small world table we have enjoyed playing with the playmobil park scene. We have had great fun playing with the shaving foam ice cream.
