Hello everyone,
We hope you have all had a great weekend with family and friends. What beautiful Autumn weather we have had.
Last week we enjoyed listening to the different variations of Shark in the Park. We listened to Shark in the dark, Shark in the park and Shark in the park on a windy day and Oh no, Shark in the Snow. We were great at joining in with the repeated refrains.
On Monday and Tuesday morning we had great fun exploring and experimenting using the torches in a dark room. We made shark shadows along with other shadows. We found sharks which were hiding around the room with our torches. We talked about what we saw and did. We also finished our Christmas cards. On Tuesday afternoon we went to forest school for an explore and play. We had a lovely time.
On Wednesday morning a group of us went to the care home for a sing song, story and to eat cake. The other group went to the park and had great fun exploring all the playground equipment. We did lots of swinging, sliding, climbing and balancing. In the afternoon we had our Relax Kids session with Sian. We had a lovely time playing games, stretching, peer massage and Relaxing.
On Thursday morning we made shark pizza's for afternoon snack or to bring home. We were great at spreading on the tomatoe sauce and trying olives and peppers. In the afternoon we went to the park and had great fun exploring all the playground equipment. We did lots of swinging, sliding, climbing and balancing.
On Friday morning we put on our wellies and waterproofs and went for a puddle walk around school. We had great fun jumping in puddles. In afternoon we had a lovely time in soft play and finished off with hot chocolate for snack.
Throughout the week we have enjoyed our vocabluarly tray of objects. We have enjoyed playing with the small world Oh no, Shark in the snow small world scene. We have been busy using our real life experiences to play in the role play home corner. On the finger frenzy table we were threading teddies and shapes onto thread. We have been busy constructing with the duplo, wooden animals bricks, transparent shapes and coloured blocks and pebbles. In the number area we have been exploring making towers with unifix cubes. We have counted how high our towers our and using tall and short vocabularly.
We met Respectful Raya which is one of our Building learning Powers. Here is some information about Respectful Raya:-
For the next fortnight we are going to be exploring food, faith and farming. We are going to be sharing lots of stories about this topic at group time. We will be cooking some yummy foods using eggs and apples. At snack time we will have a variety of foods to eat and will be talking about where each of the foods come from along with lots of other activities to support our learning.
