Hello everyone.....

 Hello everyone,

We hope you have all had a wonderful weekend with your family and friends. We hope you all like your Father's Day suprises.

On Monday morning we had our trip to Weymouth Beach (Bowleaze) We had great fun going on the the mini bus and Julia's Van. When we got to the beach we made sandcastles, collected shells, climbed on the rocks and threw stones into the sea. We then had snack on the beach. After snack we played in the river running down to the beach. It was great fun splashing and paddling in the water. We played with the boats and built dams. We had a lovely trip to the beach. In the afternoon we created a poster about our trip to the beach. On Tuesday morning we listened to the story of Charlie and Lola trip to London and we also looked at a map of our country, our United Kingdom flag. We watched Teddy's video about the facts he had learnt about England. We painted our our United Kingdom flags. When we went outside we created tower bridge and Big Ben using the large construction. In the afternoon we played in the school hall and made our Father's Day Cards. We also made some biscuits to take to the care home on Wednesday. On Wednesday a group of children visited the care home and had a lovely time singing songs and enjoyed eating biscuits which we made on Tuesday morning. Another group had PE with Mr Treble playing team races in preparation for sports day. On Wednesday afternoon we went swimming in the pool because it was too hot to play outside. We had a lovely time and we cooled down. Also we cooked our Granula to bring home for our Dad's. On Thursday morning we cooked some Granula and made cards for our Dad's. In the afternoon we played in the school hall as it was cooler. On Friday we continued with our Father's Day presents and cards. In the afternoon we played in soft play. We have enjoyed constructing with the stickle brick, wooden transparent shapes, pebbles and playmobil people and Duplo monsters. In the number area we have been sorting different english coins and talking about how much they are worth.  We have been mark making on cling film using paints and paintbrushes. On our finger frenzy table this week we have been threading beads onto sticks stuck in polystyrene.  In the water tray we have  had magnetic fish, fishing rods and nets.  In our role play we have had a under the sea and a ice-cream role play shop.
