Hello everyone.....



Hello everyone,

We hope you have all had a wonderful weekend and Happy Father's Day. 

Last week we have really enjoyed listening to more seaside stories including The snail and the whales, Sharing a shell, Sharks and lots more. We have also enjoyed doing acting out a story using the pictures. Throughout the week we have been busy making our Father's Day surprises. We made some yummy rocky road and watercolored a picture our dad's would like. We were amazing at writing our names. On Tuesday we had PE with Mr Treble and we practiced lots of Sports Day team games including the egg and spoon race, sack race, relay race and running race. On Friday afternoon we had the POWSA disco which we all really enjoyed and did lots of dancing and playing games.

Throughout the week we have enjoyed playing with the small world camping scene and making up our own stories. We have been busy on the finger frenzy table decorating our ice cream with bead sprinkles. This has been great for our pincer grip. We have continued to enjoy constructing with the k'nee and snap robots construction. We have been busy exploring the school role play shop and dressing up in different school uniforms. We have used the sand to mark make in some of our sounds. We have really enjoyed playing outside and it's been great having our new sun shade up.

This week we will be continuing with our theme of the seaside and the season of summer. We have also got a performances of Peter Pan on Wednesday and Thursday. We have got our beach trip. We will be watching a video made by Zuben's dad of sharks and lots more. 

Home learning:- 


-Can you help with a small job at home e.g. lay the table, tidy up etc?

-Can you bring a seaside story into pre-school to share at group time?

-Can you make a sea creature?


Notices:

As the weather is starting to warm, please could all children bring sun hats to school. We do have a box of spares if needed. Please  apply suncream to your child before school and tick your child's name off on the list which will be on the green table by the pre-school doorIf you have ticked to supply your own suncream, please could you make sure either it is in their bags or a spare is kept at pre-school. 

Can you use this weblink https://whatimreading.org/ to make a poster of your families favourite book this week? We are going to display them in the window for everyone to see. If you need your poster printing please email it to me.

We have our beach trip on Monday. Please could all children come to school in their wellies and wear appropriate clothes for the weather. Also if all children can be sun creamed and come with a hat. We are going to have so much fun. 

On Wednesday and Thursday we have our Peter Pan performance. If your child attends on one of these days please could they bring there Pyjamas and teddy in a named plastic bag. If you would like to come and watch please email the main office to let them know. Please look at previous letters for more information. 

Stay and play is on Thursday 23rd June from 8.30am. Everyone welcome.

POWSA Events coming up and notices

Every Friday after school POWSA are selling ice lollies and choc ices  in the main school playground. 50p each.
