Hi everyone,
We hope you have all had a great weekend despite the rainy weather.
Last week we enjoyed sharing the story of Dear Dinosaur at group time. A couple of groups have walked to the post box to post their special picture to a family member. We enjoyed looking and talking about all the things we could see in our local environment. We will be continuing with others group visiting the post box this week. From the oats and bears we played with the week before, we were interested in making flapjack. We took this idea and made flapjacks for our Dad's for Father's day. We learnt how to make flapjack and we added our chosen ingredients which were raisins, chocolate drops and apricots. We hope you all enjoyed our tasty treats. We were amazing a writing our name on the gift tag and drawing a picture for our dads. On Tuesday we had PE with Mr Treble and we practiced some sport days running and egg and spoon races. We were amazing at working as a team and following an instruction. On Tuesday afternoon we made green frog powder and experimented what happened when you add bicarbonate of soda with lemon juice. On Thursday afternoon we enjoyed playing on the play trail and the big yellow slide. Throughout the week we have loved creating with the magnetic shapes and made some great homes for the teddies. We have been creating some great robots out of the large lego blocks outside. We are interested in robots and next week we are going to be exploring robots. We have been busy making birthday cakes with the playdough. In the water tray we have been exploring flowers and making flower soup. We have been exploring painting on perspex with cotton buds.
This week we are going to be exploring robots through stories, using the rugged robots, making robot using junk modeling, dancing like a robot. We will also continue to visit the post box in small groups.
