Hi everyone,
We hope you have all had a great weekend and enjoyed some fresh air.
We have enjoyed seeing all your fabulous home learning you have been sending in. It looks like you have all been having great adventures. Keep sending all the amazing things you are up to by emailing them to j.nineham@princeofwales.dorset.sch.uk and headteacher@princeofwales.dorset.sch.uk.
Last week at Pre-school we enjoyed sharing the story of the ginger bread man and the 5 gingerbread man song. We also made a bridge out of crates and wooden planks for the gingerbread man to cross the river. We made some gingerbread men finger puppets and outside we acted out the story of the gingerbread man. On the computer we used Purple Mash to colour in a gingerbread man to practice our mouse skills. We made a display of the characters in the story using different textures. We did some stamping with the gingerbread men cutters in paint.
On Tuesday we had Pe with Mr Treble. We have really enjoyed making marble runs with the marble run construction kits. We have made them very tall. Also throughout
the week we have enjoyed the hospital role play area, playing with the small world gingerbread man scene and making gingerbread man out of play dough and decorating them with gems and buttons.Next week we are going to be sharing the story of The Three Little Pigs and we have got a variety of activities planned like a science experiment with the hairdryer, cooking, zoom session with Maiden Castle Farm, making 3 little pigs houses with the different textures, talking about groups of objects with the same number in.
Things you might like to do at home this week...
Everyday Mr Spracklen has Good morning POW at 9.30, 11.20 virtual assembly and 4.00pm Evening POW. This can be accessed on Facebook and you tube and is a great way of seeing what everyone is up to. It's really interactive and guarantee to make you smile.
In the home learning packs that have been coming home, we have included the Read Write Inc cards. At the moment we are just learning the picture names through a variety of games like hide and seek, fishing the picture etc.
Can you create your own paintbrushes using a variety of objects and a peg? Maybe go on a hunt outside and find some natural objects. There are some ideas below in the picture.
Maths Challenge
Can you find 4 different sized shoes in your house and put them in order of size?
What else can you find to order by length?
Can you make a den at home? What could you use to make a den? Maybe you could have a picnic in your den.
On Wednesday or Thursday your next home learning pack will be delivered or will come home with your child. It will be based on the story of The Three Little Pigs.
On Wednesday there will be another blog with some interactive links to enjoy and explore.
