Hello everyone,
We hope you all had a wonderful half term and look forward to hearing all about what you have been doing during half term.
This week we will be reading some pumpkin stories including Pumpkin Soup By Helen Copper. We will be making our own pumpkin soup to try at pre-school. We will be using our children knives to cut the pumpkin up for our soup. We have got some pumpkins to cut up and carve and explore whats inside the pumpkin. We will using different tools to do the including knives, spoons and tweezers.
We will be playing some number board games this week in small groups.
Home learning
Next week we will be doing some activities involving recognising our name. Over the week it would be fantastic if your child could find advertising logos they recognise in their environment. For example the Lidi sign or the McDonald sign. You may like to take a photo of it, drew it or cut out a picture.
Letters and sounds:- This week we will be playing a game of rhyming soup as a group. We will be finding words that rhyme together for our soup e.g. rat and bat.
Jennie Jigsaw
This week we will be talking about homes and houses and where we live.

It was lovely to see some of you at Stay and Play on Friday. This week Stay and Play will be on Thursday 2nd November from 8.30-9.00am. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there.
Thank you to everyone who came to parents evening. It was great to share your child's learning. If you were unable to attend please do come and see me and we will arranged a time to meet up to discuss your child's learning.
On Tuesday 7th Novemebr at 7.30pm in the main school is the POWSA AGM. For those who have never attended a PTA session before the thought can be intimidating but we are all friendly parents who want to help the school offer the best of opportunities to all the pupils who pass through it's doors, whilst having a little fun along the way. We give up a little bit of time every now and then to help provide some of those extras that help make our school such a fantastic place and if you would like to learn more we would love to see you. It would be lovely to see you there. If you unable to attend the meeting but would like more information please do come and see me.
On Friday 10th November it is our Family Bingo evening. This is a great family event with lots of prizes to be won. Doors open at 5.30pm and eyes down for 6.00pm. It finishes about 7.30pm. Be lovely to see some of our preschool families there. Please do come and see if you would like more information.
Any question please do come and see me.
Thanks
Julia and Pre-school team
