Hello everyone,
Last week we enjoyed learning all about how to stay healthy and look after our bodies. On Tuesday morning we had a visit from the dentist who came to talk about how to look after our teeth. We learnt about healthy foods for our teeth and unhealthy (treats) foods. We also found out about how to brush our teeth and have been busy praticing with the big teeth and toothbrush.
The children have all enjoyed making fruit salad or pasta salad to bring home. The children were really skilled at using the knives to cut up the fruit and salad foods. Please can bowls be returned to pre-school.
On Thursday morning we went to see the Life education van and meet Harold the giraffe. We learnt all about our bodies and how to look after them. We have all enjoyed doing the sponsored bike and scooter ride this week around the island. The most laps completed was 100. On Tuesday morning we had Mr Treble for PE and we played lots of team games on the field. We are really quick at getting changed for PE. On Wednesday morning we all went up to the poly tunnel to plant tomatoes plants with Mr Goom. We learnt how to plant them and care for them.We all planted different types of tomatoes plants. On Friday a group of children went swimming.
This week and next week we are going to be sharing the story of Jack and the beanstalk. We have got lots of fun and exciting activities including making a castle outside with boxes and painting it, planting our own magic beans, junk modelling castles, bean experiment, tasting different types of beans, beans game and lots more.
