Science Week...

Hello everyone,

Wow what an amazing week we had. We have been finishing off our 3D shoes which were on display at the Cinderella's ball. We have been busy decorating Cinderella dresses with glitter and sequins. We have also been using purple mash on the computer to design and colour a carriage or cinderella dress.  On Tuesday morning we had PE with Mr Treble and we used the apparatus to climb, balance and jump off. We really enjoyed our PE session. On Monday afternoon some children went to the school library to look at the books. On Wednesday morning some of us went swimming and we had a go at blowing bubbles in the water, floating like a starfish and putting our face in the water. Throughout the week we enjoyed making and cooking shoe shaped biscuits to bring home and for the ball. On Friday morning we decorated the biscuits. If you decorated your biscuits and took at picture please do bring the picture in. We have enjoyed writing party food lists and writing invitations for the ball. On Thursday morning we acted out the story of Cinderella in the hall and did some dancing. On Friday we had great fun dressing up as Princes and Princesses for the day. We made our own crowns as well. In The afternoon we had our own Cinderella ball with a banquet of jam sandwiches and biscuits in shoe shapes. We also had juice in champagne glasses. Afterwards we had a good dance followed by the staff acting out the story of Cinderella. It was lovely to see some many of families come along for this. We have also been out on the balance bikes this week. On Wednesday afternoon we had great fun making bridges outside using crates and planks of wood. We had a go at balancing on the planks of wood.

This week we be talking about recycling, looking after our environment and science experiments. We have lots of activities planned this week including a science show, litter picking around the school grounds (Tuesday- Can children bring in gloves please), making sea creatures out of plastic milk cartoons, science experiments and lots more.
