Hello everyone,

Last week we started the week off with reading the story of Cinderella. Throughout the week we have read different versions of the story.
We have been exploring colour mixing and then printing our mixing onto Cinderella dress or a prince waistcoat. The children have been exploring what colour you can make with red, blue, yellow and white. The children have then go onto explore mixing colours independently. We have been continuing with our 3d shoes. We have begun covering them in tissue paper and choosing which colours to use. We have also been designing and colouring in a dress, pumpkin carriage on the computer using Purple Mash. On Tuesday morning we played lots of games in the hall using the theme of Cinderella e.g Cinderella foot steps and lots more. The children are great at get changed for PE. On Wednesday the children went swimming which they really enjoyed. We practiced blowing bubbles in the water, blowing a flying sauce around the pool and putting our face in the water. We also had a go at doing a star fish float in the water.
On Monday afternoon we played lots of games outside including What's the time Mr Wolf, Grandmas  footsteps. On Wednesday afternoon we went and made magic wands outside. We each found a stick which would make a good wand. We then wrapped our chosen colours of wool around the sticks. We then collected natural resources around the school grounds to stick on the star shape and sprinkled with glitter. We had great fun making these wands.
On Thursday afternoon we went out on the balance bikes around the school grounds and we have gained lot's of confidence coming down the hills.
On Friday we had a fantastic day playing in the snow. We went sledging down the hill, building snowman, having snowball fights and lot's more. In the afternoon we went out for a snowy walk and explored mixing powder paints in the snow.
We are really good at recognising most of the Read write inc pictures and we have learnt all of them now.

This week we will be decorating our Cinderella dresses and waistcoats with sequins and glitter. We also will be making the final touches to our 3d shoes. We will also be continuing with designing and colouring in a dress or carriage using the computers. We will also be cooking the shoe biscuits and decorating them to bring home.
On Friday the children can come in dressed as Princesses or Princes for the day. Throughout the week we will continue to explore mixing colours, junk modelling, invitation mark making and lot's more.
