17 July
Dear Parents,
we hope in these last few days of pre school the children continue to enjoy themselves as they have done in the past year or two that they have been with us. Hopefully the weather will be good and the children can have lots of free choice play, singing, music, drama and dancing.
As staff we have really enjoyed the opportunity to help your children, grow and learn with us. It is also particularly poignant for me as i too say farewell to the pre school.
We send all our best wishes to all the children and their families as they start on the exciting road of education, exploring, discovering and learning.
Thank you so much for all your kind words and best wishes they are really, really appreciated.
Enjoy the summer holidays !

maps !
10th July
Dear Parents,
Well the last full week of the school year is with us, I think you will all agree that although the year has flown by the children have all made wonderful progress in their learning and are all looking forward to the challenges ahead.
This week we have 2 main focuses to the week.
When we spoke on Thursday many of the children were very keen to make maps this week, so that is what we will be doing! The children will have lots of maps to explore with if they do not want to make their own. They will also be using some maps to explore the school grounds, hopefully combining with some picnic snacks.
Our other focus will be an extension from last week which many of the children really enjoyed, which was music and movement. A different style of music, or songs and poems every day.
Apologies for the lack of swimming recently, a combination of poor water tests and staffing have made it difficult to swim recently. Fingers crossed for this Tuesday.
Prince of Wales school parents, look out for your letter about learning journeys in your letter pockets.
Has everyone visited their new school? if not please let me know and I will help organise a visit for you.

olympics and Brazil
3rd July
Dear Parents,
Just a short blog to tell you we are continuing with the theme from last week, including joining the school for the whole school theme of the olympics. Fingers crossed for good weather, so the children can all enjoy some outdoor sports and PE.
We will be making musical instruments and continue to enjoy carnival and contemporary music.
For those parents whose children are starting Prince of Wales Reception class, the parents meeting starts at 1.45 on Tuesday 5th July in the main school hall. For those children who attend Tuesday we will take them to the reception classroom for 1.45.
