HELP - a desparate plea!!!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any compost that I could use tomorrow, pretty please - rather than spending a fortune on new bags, I would rather see if there are any half bags that need using up first!?

Also, if anyone has any part used BRIGHT gloss paint that they could donate for the tyre planters, that would be great too!

Thank you!

Eco schools week

28th February

This week we are taking part in the whole school themed week ' Eco Schools'.
On 1st March we will be looking at our 'Kipper's year book' drawing daffodils and enjoying lots of outside activities based on a windy day, such as kites, balloons and ribbon sticks.
During the week with the children we are going to look at our outside space, plant seeds, make bird food and a bird table.
We are also going to be spending time with reception class enjoying some planting, a scavenger hunt and helping them to build their greenhouse.

Lots of Physical Development activities this coming two weeks with threading, and using one handed tools to garden, cook and thread.
Understanding the world activities, stories and pictures to talk about and thinking about a special person for next Sunday!!

Hide and Seek

21 February 2016

Welcome back to the 2nd half of the spring term, it's a short half half term with lots to do.
Many of the children have been playing hide and seek independently both in outside and inside. and  inventing their own hide and seek games. So this week we have a lovely book called 'Kippers Hide and Seek'.
We are going to use the theme of the story to enjoy lots of different hiding and seeking activities, hiding numbers, numicon and sounds and playing hide and seek on the school grounds.
We are also going to be looking at our outside spaces in preparation for the whole school Eco schools theme week on 29th Feb.

JIGSAW. The theme this half term is 'healthy me', with lots of action songs, obstacle courses, outside games (including hide and seek), talking about healthy food, remembering the importance of washing our hands and keeping clean. So ..at home what are your favourite sports and activities. Don't forget a WOW.

I hope you had time to have a go at the bird count we will be using them for a number graph and for our eco schools week.

a week of celebrations

7th February

A really busy week ahead. We have a week of different kinds of celebrations to explore.
On Monday its Chinese New Year. With books to look at and a craft to do.
On Tuesday its Pancake Day, with pancakes for snack and the story of Mr Wolf's Pancakes to enjoy.
On Thursday we have a day of Valentines crafts, and we will be thinking about people we care about and why they are special to us.
Last week many of the children enjoyed making patterns with cubes, numicon and pegs, printing and peg boards, so we will be continuing our pattern theme this coming week, including our 'make a pattern' actions song which the children love to sing.

Because of the busy week we have put our bird topic back until the week after half term.

Don't forget we break for half term on Thursday. There are some lovely activities at the Library in half term week, so why not go along.
