Christmas is coming !
Dear All,
Christmas is fast approaching and its only 2 glitter filled weeks until we break up.
Last week our time was filled with christmas crafts, songs and activities based around the Christmas theme. For example we played a game with a sensory bag that we made with christmas figures, stars, a satsuma and some christmas pine tree (very small twig!). This is a great game to play at home, the children can make up a bag themselves and play with all the family. You can also base the game around numbers or sounds. Let us know if you have a go.
This week we are going to play a tray game using Christmas figures, I am sure you have played it before, but if not, you look at what is on the tray of figures. Then cover with a cloth, the leader takes something away, uncovers the tray and the next turn has to guess what is missing.
This week we are off to the garden centre. We will be taking photos and talking about the parts of the display and decorations the children liked best. We will then be trying to make some of the decorations at pre school.
There are a small number of children who have not been to the post box so they will be doing that this week as well.
The children's decorations looked lovely on the Christmas tree at St Georges church, Fordington. There is still time to see the tree festival tomorrow 12-4pm. Our tree has the theme of Jingle bells.
